A trip to Tokyo isn’t complete without a night of karaoke. Unlike its Western counterpart, karaoke in Japan takes place with friends in a private room rather than a crowded bar, with themes ranging from the basic to the bizarre ones. Virtually everyone in Japan likes karaoke — from high school kids to old folks. It’s a highly recommended experience for visitors to Japan. Karaoke is essentially a space to have a private party (groups small and large). Couples also enjoy karaoke.

The common process when entering a karaoke upon arriving involves filling out a simple form (with details of the following information: your name, the number of people in your group, and how long you expect to stay). You can also order food or alcoholic drinks, of which the price might be included in the room fee or not (after you get inside the room, drinks and food have to be ordered through a phone). On the way to the elevator, you might find percussion instruments such as tambourines and maracas free to use, and some establishments might even have costumes for people that like to cosplay while singing or even control the room lights. If you want a more intimate feeling, you can turn off the lights.

And remember – nobody can sing. Karaoke fans aren’t beautiful vocalists — they’re party people. Join our karaoke party experience as, as everyone is a superstar at karaoke!

What we’ll do

As a big fan of anime, I would like to go to Karaoke with you just to sing Japanese anime songs for Japanese anime lovers from all over the world. Isn’t that amazing if people who have the same hobby gather and limit to singing just Japanese anime songs? Even songs we don’t know, this will be a great opportunity to share our favorite songs/animes with each other.

Time schedule

Karaoke establishments are usually open from around 11:00 am to 3:00 am, except for Fridays and Saturdays on when they normally have longer operating hours. So usually these are Fridays and Saturdays ** be ready to party till the early morning

Where we’ll be

Karaoke which becomes the meeting place is located 3 minutes on foot from JR Kinshicho Station south exit. Prices for karaoke experiences include soft drink charges. In the case of alcohol, you can bring it yourself (however, you need an identification card to confirm your age). Snacks and food can be brought free of charge.
