There’s no finer way to explore the Arctic wilderness than on a sled pulled by a team of Huskies. Blissfully free from engine noise and the din of modern life, accompanied by a soundtrack of yelping dogs and the scrape of the sled across the snow, dog-sledding takes you out into the trackless world of Norway’s far north and allows you to immerse yourself in the beautiful light of the Arctic winter.

Dog sledding may actually be one of the most appreciated on-land activities one can do in the Arctic landscape. The team that will be taking care of you is a passionate, knowledgeable and genuine group of dog-sledding professionals. It’s a pure blessing to be able to have them share the amazing feeling that dog sledding brings with happy, strong and healthy Alaskan huskies.

All of the gear you will need is provided on site including warm suits, winter boots, woolen socks, hats, mittens, buff (cover neck, mouth, and nose) and headlamps. The facilities are clean and comfortable. You will even have the opportunity to drive the sled yourself to really feel the authentic dog sledding experience. The sleds are shared, which means that there will be one musher who controls the brake and steers using his body, and one passenger who sits in front and assists the musher with steering. Throughout the journey, you will make several stops to switch positions, take pictures, and enjoy the views.

After about one hour of dog sledding, we return to the ranch where you will meet our puppies and maybe make some four-legged friends. The traditional Lavuu (Sami tent) is heated by a fireplace where they will serve a sami meal (Bidos) with hot coffee, tea and chocolate cake for dessert.
