Finland is a Northern European nation bordering Sweden, Norway and Russia. It has become famous among nature lovers. From the beautiful scattering of islands in Europe’s largest archipelago to the exciting countryside of Finnish Lapland, the landscape of Finland has to offer many activities for everyone.

Our guide will meet you in front of the hotel at 9 am. We will then head to the North towards the famous town of Inari. The trip will take us about two and a half hours per one way depending on weather & road conditions. We may take a quick stop along the way to stretch our legs if needed.

The first stop takes us to a local Sami Reindeer farm where we will meet Kaija and her family, the local Sami reindeer herders. Kaija will talk to us about reindeer herding and the year of a reindeer. She will tell us about the Sami culture, about the old gods and beliefs and about the Sami Lapland. This is a perfect way to understand the culture and its many colours. We will also be able to see Kaijas art. There is also a chance to buy some of her famous handcraft from the gallery. We will, of course, also meet the reindeer and are able to take some pictures along the way. The visit in the reindeer farm with Kaija takes about one and a half hours.

After the farm visit, we will drive to Inari. There we will visit the biggest Sami museum in Finland getting to know the Sami culture and history based on Kaijas stories. Before the museum visit, we will have a buffet lunch at the museum. We will spend 1,5 – 2 hours in the museum.

After the visit to the museum, we will head back to Levi. During the ride, we will stop along the way to look at the Northern Sky and the stars and if we are lucky enough, the Northern Lights. We will be back at the hotel approximately at 6 PM so you are still able to have dinner at your hotel.

If you are interested in the Sami culture and the Lappish way of living this package is a perfect way to do just that!
