This is a challenging 2-day hike in the scenic Sierra de Gredos Natural Park. Over two days, we will follow the mountain trail from Hoyos del Espino to Navalperal de Tormes, crossing the glacial lakes of Laguna Grande and Five Lagoons in the circus of Gredos. This route offers breathtaking views of rugged granite formations, glacial lakes, gorges, and mountain peaks, including the emblematic Almanzor Peak. We will spend one night in a bivouac under the starry sky, making this an unforgettable outdoor experience.

Itinerary

Day 1: Hike from Hoyos del Espino to Gredos Five Lagoons
– 7:00 AM. Meet up and pick up at your hotel or accommodation in Madrid.
– Transfer from Madrid to Hoyos del Espino, Ávila.
– 1st Day Guided Hike in the Sierra de Gredos Natural Park. 6 to 8 hours walking.
– Evening chill out with drinks, hot dinner, and bivouac overnight with sleeping bag and pad under the stars.

– Elevation gain: +1,400 m
– Elevation loss: -710 m

Day 2: From Gredos Lagoon to Hoyos del Espino
– Breakfast, pack up camp, and 2nd Day Guided Hike in the Sierra de Gredos Natural Park. 3 hours walking.
– Lunch break in Hoyos del Espino town and transfer back to Madrid (Estimated Time Arrival at 19:00 PM).
